NCW in collaboration with Women’s Resource and Advocacy Center- An Activity of Maya Foundation organized a Public Hearing of Women affected by NRI/Overseas Marriages on 15th July 2011 at ICSSR Complex, Punjab University, Chandigarh. This was an effort to deal with the said issue by hearing of experiences of the victims and their families of these marriages which will help in understanding the ground realities associated with the issue along with highlighting the problems faced by victims and their families.
